Wandering around the market in Hay this morning I happened to see Colin Thompson (ex Kilvert’s) in his civvies. That’s what I call his ‘home clothes’. I don’t often see him in his civvies, as it’s usually on the hunting field where I see Colin. I’ve been out photographing with the Golden Valley Hunt from time to time and have witnessed the very brave Colin jumping some huge fences!

Anyway, where was I? Oh yes. Well, you probably know this already, but Colin has bought The Radnor Arms at Llowes and it won’t be long before it opens. He said this morning that he might open the pub a couple of nights next week! He’s got the Radnor Hunt Ball to deal with first, but after that he will have more time to concentrate on the pub. Looking forward to going there!

Just in case any of you were worried about me and my broken finger, then please do not worry at all. It’s still a little painful and swollen, but I’m pretty sure it’s not broken at all. I think I just wrenched or sprained it. No excuse not to do the housework now, although, actually, I think it’ll be a few weeks before I can handle a hoover. Might as well ‘milk it’ while I’ve got the chance!
