You may have been to or heard about our event 'Celebrating Tomorrow's Transport' in the market square recently. We have the following activity taking place over the next few months:
For local businesses: Hay and District Chamber of Commerce in association with Transition Hay-on-Wye presents: 'Without cheap oil': an informal discussion about preparing shops and businesses in Hay for the future Wine and snacks provided Parish Hall, 7.30pm, Thursday 8th October
For families: The Marcher Apple Network in association with Transition Hay-on-Wye presents: 'Apple Day': family fun at Tredomen Orchard - pick apples to take home, get practical help and try your skills on tree and orchard maintenance. Date depends on the weather - a dry weekend day in October
For anyone wanting to know more about peak oil and climate change: Transition Hay-on-Wye in association with The Globe at Hay presents: 'See for yourselves': a series of films showing the dramatic effects of peak oil and climate change on our world. ' An inconvenient truth ', Sunday 4th Oct ' The Story of Stuff ' and Peak Oil Documentary, Sunday 1st Nov 'Home', Sunday 6th Dec All films are free, in the Globe , starting at 8pm, followed by discussion.
