Flyer

It was agreed that a flyer should be ready to hand out at the Crickhowell Walking Festival and the end of February.

Flyer should include dates of Hay walking Festival: 7/8/9 October, outline of number of walks( 5 per day) and type of walks ( mix of long/medium and special interest)

Walking progamme

It was agreed that festival should last 3 days, incorporate 15 walks and target special interests: children/literary/wildlife/landscape/navigation /star gazing , as well as accommodating those who just want to walk.

Option of actively including Kilvert soc discussed

All members agreed to think about those with specialist interests

 who might co=lead walks with a designated walk leader

 

Initial rough draft for discussion at next meeting

 

Programme needs to be finalised , printed and ready for distribution by 1st July

Sponsorship

It was agreed that it was worth looking for sponsorship in year 1, to help make festival financially viable in year 2 and following. Options of getting specific walks sponsored to value of up to £100 by local businesses, plus sponsorship in the form of goods

Nick has clear time frame and process in mind for website construction, with view to a reference page being ready in time for Crickhowell festival, and website being fully operational at a later date

Alison agreed to start thinking about an evening events programme. Various names of speakers were suggested. Amy kindly offered the use of a room at the Swan.
