Hello everyone, it’s me again – Clare Williams.  Hope you have been enjoying the snow as much as I have.  I was pleased to see more snow arrive early in the morning of Friday 6th February.  More photo opportunities!  A winter wonderland, with sparkling snow on every tree, bough and leaf.  Perfect.

Luckily I had got all the Wye Local magazines delivered the day before, when the roads were pretty good, even though we had quite a fall of snow mid-morning. Unfortunately on Friday I had to wait in at home for a package which had to be signed for.  As soon as that had been delivered, I took the dog along Bailey Walk.  That was disappointing – it had started to thaw down there and there was hardly any snow on the trees at all.

So then I went up into the town and got a nice collection of photos at Hay Castle where there was still plenty of snow.

After lunch I got some super shots of Hay Bluff and The Black Mountains.  I was delighted that there was no cloud, well hardly any, over Hay Bluff this time!

I meandered around in the car, getting a few shots here and there and eventually ended up down on the bridge at Glasbury.  My daughter Hannah, a very keen amateur photographer has got a lovely sunset shot of reflections in the river which she took when she was home at Christmas time.  I hung around, waiting for the right moment to see if I could get something similar.  I think I did.  What do you think? Please add any comments to our Forum page on this website.

I saw the weather forecast for the week on TV’s  Countryfile this morning.  Even more snow is coming our way.  I don’t think I’ll have a chance to get many more photographs taken though – I’m exhibiting my photography at The Wedding Fayre to be held at The Swan at Hay on Sunday 22nd February and I’ve got an enormous amount of work to prepare for this, my first ever Wedding Fayre!
