This site has been set up by a local lass and a website guru following the success and growth of the Wye Local magazine.

Wye Locals aim is to build a site that local residents will find useful and entertaining, the site will also appeal to visitors as it will give a true local guide to the area.

It is the only local community website which covers the towns of Hay-on-Wye, Talgarth and the surrounding villages – an area that has so much to offer both the residents and the tourists.
 
Your involvement will shape the way this site evolves – send suggestions, editorial contributions and comments to the editor. Contribute to the site by uploading your own articles. Are you involved with a local club? Or are you proud of what your business has recently achieved? Are you able to write a review each month? However you feel, if you are able to contribute – please do!
 
We aim to be the place where local residents can share their needs, news, ideas, comments and where visitors can find out all they need to know, from booking accommodation to deciding their itinerary for their stay. From your input, the site will form a reliable guide to life in the Wye Local area. To fully participate you really should register as a member – its free and you can then use all of the features on the site, the use of the applications such as the forum and classifieds. There is no editorial line as we aim to reflect the broad spectrum of views in the community. We are not political but are quite happy to publish your views if you are – just as we will publish the views of someone who disagrees with you.
